HOLIDAY MAGIC MAIN STREET USA
Who is to say why each of us has a special fondness in our hearts for a "section" of Disney. For some it is the rides, others the castle, for me it is Main Street. I am no less impressed this time than with each previous visit. Here, to me this is Disney, what it is all about. The costumes and performers, the music and this bigger than life feeling reminds me of the classic Disney movies I grew up with, Mary Poppins, the Mickey Mouse Club..... I remember the first time I stepped foot on this street with my then two young boys, perhaps to date one of my most cherished memories.... So I take it all in again, walk slowly, pause often to appreciate the small touches. Here are my impressions, through the eye of my camera, a Disney Christmas.....
Quite strange since our last visit where we now must give our finger imprint. Still today we have not figured out the why, or the purpose of this new procedure, we comply, enter. We walk through the locker area and then burst into the center, the main circle. First we stop and pause at the Disney train station. In every review we publish we pick a picture of us to connect the faces behind the review... What better picture than me so anxious to hop up and pose next to Goofy!
The circle has wonderful holiday flowers and plants, the emporium is decked out for the season.
Across the street we stop into one of my favorite shops where they always do incredible displays with the candy and fudge.... This time with pretzels... We stroll around the shops, decide what cool momentum I will bring home from this trip.... As a Dolphin guest you cannot charge your purchases to your room as with the other Disney hotels, but you can have your purchases delivered back to your hotel for you.... Great when purchasing something that requires extra packaging. I choose a fun cookie jar (below).
